Ce stage transdisciplinaire d'improvisation et de performance se concentre sur la connexion entre nos intuitions animales primaires et nos vies humaines contemporaines. Nous créerons un environnement bienveillant pour explorer les 5 grands P : Presence, Perception, Play, Practice et Performance. Nous abandonnons la domestication, inversons les hiérarchies habituelles et retrouvons notre nature sauvage fondamentale où l'instinct agit comme une force libératrice. Nous déconstruisons le réflexe de peur et trouvons le courage d'être pleinement vus. Attendez-vous aux explorations intérieures, une honnêteté corporelle radicale, un toucher consenti, du partage, de la vocalisation et du travail rythmique.

Il y aura de la technique et beaucoup de "see, feel, touch, heal". Nous explorerons des partitions pour duo, trio et groupe avec des noms comme Flop, Flow, Freeze ; Débutants absolus ; Chenille, cocon, papillon ; Le cadeau est dans la blessure ; Clown Your Demons ; Artifice vs Authenticité ; Jamais seul.e ; Proximité ≠ Intimité ; et Tigre rencontre Pingouin. Nous explorerons la tendresse et la sauvagerie, la désorientation novatrice et nous oserons rencontrer l'inconnu.
Un mot sur la performance : Ce qui définit une performance, c'est qu'une ou plusieurs personnes la regardent. Mais notre premier public, c'est celui qui se trouve en nous ! Nous apprivoiserons notre juge intérieur et cultiverons le témoin intérieur bienveillant qui embrasse l'acceptation radicale. Nous déchiffrons le besoin humain paradoxal fondamental de vouloir se cacher et d'être vu.

Jules Beckman est un artiste de la scène et pédagogue transdisciplinaire américain installé en France depuis 2002. Depuis 1987, il crée, enseigne et se produit régulièrement en danse, théâtre, performance et cirque. Il est directeur artistique de transminuko (https://www.transminuko.com). Parmi ses collaborations, on peut citer Needcompany, Anna Halprin, Collectif AOC, Libertivore, I.D.A./Mark Tompkins, Cahin-caha, Lhasa De Sela, Contraband/Sara Shelton, Jess Curtis, Stanya Kahn, Stephanie Maher et Keith Hennessy.
Son travail l'a conduit dans une trentaine de pays. Il a enseigné au Centre National des Arts du Cirque, à Impulstanz, à DOCH, à l'Université de Danse et de Cirque, à Canaldanse, à MADE in France, au Connecticut College, au Prescott College, au New College of California, et dans plusieurs festivals d'improvisation contact, notamment à Fribourg, Grenoble, Barcelone, Moab, Budapest et Ibiza.
 

Je suis passionné par la synergie des disciplines, l'expérimentation, l'utilisation de la danse et de l'exploration somatique pour répondre aux questions spirituelles et politiques, la création d'un laboratoire pour les pratiques de libération, les jeux hybrides, la prière corporelle, la manifestation contemporaine de la lignée de la danse extatique, l'écoute et l'action radicale métaphorique d'une myriade de formes de relations, un véritable incubateur de connexions et révélations.

This trans-disciplinary improvisation and performance workshop focuses on connecting our primal animal intuitions to our contemporary human lives. We will create a supportive environment to explore 5 big P's : Presence, Perception, Play, Practice and Performance. We abandon domestication, invert habitual hierarchies and reclaim our basic wildness in which instinct acts as a liberating force. We unpack the fear reflex and gain courage to be fully seen. Expect internal work, radical embodied honesty, consensual touch, sharing, vocalization and rhythm work.

There will be some technique and a lots of see, feel, touch, heal. We'll explore duet, trio and group scores with names like Flop, Flow, Freeze; Absolute Beginners; Caterpillar, Cocoon, Butterfly; The Gift is in the Wound; Clown Your Demons; Artifice vs Authenticity; Never Alone; Proximity ≠ Intimacy; and Tiger Meets Penguin. We will explore tenderness and wildness, innovative disorientation and we will brave the unknown.

A word on performance : One thing that defines performance is that one or more people are watching. But the first audience is one inside our own mind ! We will make friends with our inner judge and cultivate the benevolent inner witness that embraces radical acceptance. We will untangle the basic human paradoxical need of wanting to hide and wanting to be seen.

Jules Beckman, is an transdisciplinary performing artist and teacher from the USA living in France since 2002. He has been making work collaboratively, teaching, and touring steadily in dance, theater, performance and circus since 1987.
